Dacra Office

Miami Design District Dacra Office Interior Architecture

Overview

During the course of the Design District’s rapid growth, Dacra out grew their office space and opted to renovate the 3rd floor of their office building to house the leasing operations.

As an extension of their real estate office on the 4th floor, this level was required to accommodate additional conference rooms, offices and staff kitchen for Dacra but also a self contained office for Twenty Two Group, a rapidly expanding general contractor.

The floor was divided by program; private offices were enveloped by wood clad volumes, located along the north and south perimeter windows, taking advantage of daylight and views.

The balance of the open space in the center of the floor was allocated to semi public activities; conference rooms, print center / supplies storage are effectively disguised behind pristine gallery walls that envelope what can at times be a chorus of chaotic activity.

These centralized functions and their inherent liveliness define a circulation route that is bound by the diagonal walls of the central core and the orthogonal perimeter office partitions. Paintings, sculpture or other artifacts fill this void and provides an opportunity for visitors and staff to admire the collection of art works on display throughout the office.
