Aesop Design District
Overview
Aesop is a distinctive skin care brand from Melbourne, Australia and their commitment to design is evident from the quality of the smallest of details, such as their product line, through to the full customer experience and store interiors.
The Aesop store located in the Miami Design District is situated at the rear of the Garden Building, fronting the recently completed Arches paseo, and is one of Miami’s first dedicated micro tenant spaces.
After R&B completed the Aesop Coconut Grove store, Aesop USA retained R&B to lead the execution of their Design District store in Miami.
R&B was presented with a challenging design concept and charged with bringing it into the realms of possibility. Working with a local contractor and utilizing cutting edge ductile concrete technologies, an exquisitely detailed combination of integrated product shelving, pedestal display counters and demonstration sinks defined the interior space.
Curved interior walls are finished in a smooth venetian plaster, giving the appearance of space cut from a single, solid block of stone.
